If you are a single user but use multiple computers and store items in network-shared folders or removable devices that do not always mount to the same location (eg. Sometimes it is "HDD1" and sometimes "HDD2"), you can maintain shared catalogs between computers. You'll need to do a little preparation first since each of those computers has a slightly different path to find the shared drive.
- Before you add items from shared drives to a catalog:
- Go to Catalog>Manage Shared Folders...
- You'll see a dialog box. Add... any shared folders that you plan to use on more than one computer with Photo Mechanic Plus.
Once you have done this, you can add photos from shared folders to your catalogs, and Photo Mechanic Plus will be better able to find those files on other computers.
