Viewing GPS Coordinates on the Map

  All Keyboard Shortcuts

To view your photos on a map, you need photos with GPS coordinate metadata. You can set GPS coordinates manually or import GPS data captured from loggers and other devices. Once this metadata is associated with your photos, you can visualize them on a map.

With one or more photos selected in a contact sheet, use the contextual menu (right-click or control-click) to select Show Map...

If you have selected more than one photo with GPS metadata, you can use the arrow keys to display the next/previous photo in your selection.

You can also view files on a map by exporting a KMZ file from Photo Mechanic and importing the files into the Google Earth web browser.

Tip:If you are using Photo Mechanic Plus, you can also search for photos on a map using the Catalog menu
