Photo Mechanic is available for macOS and Windows. A subscription or perpetual license can be used on up to two computers at a time, and a single license can be used on either operating system.
Some features of Photo Mechanic are operating system dependent and are therefore exclusive to that operating system.
These requirements may change over time as we release updates, but we will do our best to continue to host downloads to versions that remain compatible with older operating systems.
Operating System Requirements
The minimum operating system requirements for Photo Mechanic and Photo Mechanic Plus are:
- macOS 10.15 or later
- Windows 10 or later (64-bit versions only)
Additional Information
- If your computer can run any of the above operating systems, it is capable of running Photo Mechanic and Photo Mechanic Plus. The only other requirement is a display with a minimum resolution of 1024x768, using a 32-bit color space or millions of colors.
- Photo Mechanic’s primary bottleneck is I/O. This means that performance is highly dependent on the speed of the drive that stores the images you are viewing or editing. The faster the drive, the better performance you will get.
